When and Where to Fly the Flag

• It can be flown daily at government buildings, schools, businesses, and homes.
• Should be hoisted at sunrise and lowered at sunset unless properly illuminated at night.
• During national days or memorials, it is flown at half-mast as a sign of respect.

Respectful Handling of the Flag

• Never let the flag touch the ground.
• When lowering the flag, fold it neatly and store it properly.
• A damaged or faded flag should be disposed of respectfully (burned in a dignified manner).

 Flag in Public Events & Parades

• The flag should always be in a position of prominence.
• It must not be used as tablecloths, drapery, or clothing.
• When carried in a parade, it should be held high and never dipped.
